Waterloo Regional Police Charge Male with Attempted Murder

Waterloo Region, Ontario – Waterloo Regional Police have charged a 33-year-old male with Attempted Murder in connection to an incident that occurred December 17, 2018.

Waterloo Regional Police responded to the area of Ainslie Street North and Simcoe Street in Cambridge at 4:30 a.m. after receiving reports of an altercation involving two males.

As a result of the altercation, one male received a stab wound and was transported to hospital with serious, but non-life-threatening injuries. He has since been released.

This is believed to be a targeted incident and there is no concern for public safety.
