Waterloo's First Ever Ukulele Festival
Summer Lights Presents WaterlUKE Festival And it's a FREE for Everyone
Waterloo – The WaterLUKE Festival brought to you by the Summer Lights Team is showcasing the first ever WaterlUKE Festival to UpTown Waterloo Square. WaterlUKE festival is all things UKES, featuring various musical artists, maker activities, sing-a-longs, learn to play the UKE, food trucks, magic, balloon making, and some surprises.
“The Festival is a great mixture of performance, learn to play, sing-a-long and interactive programming “ I am so happy to be performing at the first ever WaterlUKE Festival,” noted Paige Warner, local musician, “The Summer Lights team make festivals that are truly interactive and unique”
The Festival runs from 7pm – 11pm on July 13th, in the UpTown Waterloo Square. Made possible by Access Storage, Sherwood Systems and the Spotlight grant under the UpTown BIA.
Performances by Paige Warner, Awkward Bling Party, Learn to UKE with Waterloo Public Library, intimate UKE experiences with Jo Jo Worthington and Gayle Ackroyd which is a mix of learning, performance and sing-a-long. There will be uke button making with WPL, and UKE bracelet making with hosts Becca & Emily. Balute will be on site, JP Magic, Miss Drew. Kono Pizza and Café du Monde Crêperie will be on serving up deliciousness and everyone is invited to come down and enjoy the UpTown Waterloo Patios.
