Paraplegic Vying to Become Perfume Model

Jessica Kruger lost the use of her legs after she fell two storeys while painting on a ladder 5 years ago. Now at the age of 20 she attends SFU and competes on the BC wheelchair co-ed rugby team. She is tough and determined to live a 'normal' life. She is also beautiful, and says that she's as happy as she's ever been. Her wheelchair has helped open doors for her to try new things, and follow a new path in life.
When she heard of an online competition to become the new face of Lise Watier's 'Something Sweet' perfume she entered it for fun. Her friends on facebook got excited by the idea and now she is in 3rd place in the contest. She hopes that by entering the contest she can help to erase the stigma around people with disabilities.
Jessica hasn't ever seen a paraplegic model, and hopes to be a role model for men and women who've been recently injured. She wants them to understand that a new, exciting life can lie in their future.
