Deadly consequences of Texting and Driving

The Government of Ontario recently increased the penalties for distracted driving with fines ranging from $300-$1000 and 3 points, but Manitoba has the stiffest penalties in Canada. If you are caught you face a $200 fine and 5 demerit points. If you already have 10 points you'll be paying up to $3200 in fines.
Far too often I am seeing drivers texting and talking on their phones while driving, especially at stop signs and traffic lights. There is nothing so important that can’t wait until you arrive at your destination, or until you pull over.
Every time you pick up your phone you are endangering someone else’s life. Just stop texting behind the wheel now.
