A concussion can occur when the head has been physically traumatized in some sort of way. This can occur in a vehicle accident when a person’s head is slammed into a window or other car part. It can also come from a fall.

An accident can occur even when a pedestrian has not been hit by the vehicle. There does not require direct physical contact. The use of automobile sets in motion a train of events which brings about offence causing injury.
