Scholar's Hall Takes Fundraising To Next Level In Heart & Stroke Foundation Initiative
When it comes to fundraising for the Heart & Stroke foundation the students, staff, family and friends of Scholar's Hall in Kitchener were the top school in Kitchener/Waterloo.
This private school went above and beyond, raising $2894.29 for Heart & Stroke.
Students across the region could either JUMP Rope for Heart ,or do HOOPS For Heart as a basis for their fundraising campaign for Heart & Stroke.
This week the school was visited by Harlem Globe Trotter Anthony "Buckets" Blakes for a big thank you and some really cool and smart words about school bullying.
"Buckets" spends hundreds of days per year out on the road playing basketball and talking to kids in schools clear across North America and beyond.
Kitchener Auditorium will be host to the Harlem Globe Trotters this Thursday, April 10. Gina Ellis of the Heart & Stroke Foundation glowed with pride as she thanked the staff and children of Scholar's Hall for a job well done.
The Globetrotter Basketball event at the Kitchener AUDitorium and the Heart & Stroke's challenge to local schools was a great partnership set in place by Gina Ellis and Kendra Martin of the AUD.
"It's a WIN-WIN-WIN program," said Gina Ellis.
Schools continue to be a source and inspiration for Heart & Stroke fundraising initiatives as was demonstrated by this incredible team effort.
