63 Year Old Cambridge Woman Victim Of Homicide

Coroner's Report Ordered To Confirm Cause

Waterloo Region, Ontario Waterloo Regional Police Homicide detectives in partnership with the Coroner’s office continue to investigate the death of a Cambridge woman.

At approximately 2:45 am on Monday December 29, 2014, police responding to a Cambridge home on Rouse Avenue to investigate an assault, located a deceased female inside.

The Coroner was contacted and a post mortem examination will be conducted in Hamilton to confirm the cause of death.

Police have identified the victim as Linda Sauve, 63 years.

A male resident of the house was arrested following an assessment at Cambridge Memorial Hospital.

Clark Eric Sauve, 60 years, has been charged with Second Degree Murder. He appeared in the Ontario Court of Justice today and has been remanded into custody pending a further court appearance on January 5, 2015.

Investigators have no concerns for public safety in relation to this incident. Further arrests are not expected.
