Regional Police Charge Five Cambridge Men With Trafficking Cocaine

Regional Police arrest five and seize drugs and weapons in cocaine trafficking investigation
Waterloo Region, Ontario – An investigation by members of the Waterloo Regional Police Drug Branch into the trafficking of cocaine within Waterloo Region has resulted in the arrest of five local men and the seizure of illegal drugs, weapons and cash.
On Tuesday March 10, 2015 the Drug Branch with the assistance of the South Crime Management team, Criminal Intelligence Branch, Emergency Response Branch and Neighbourhood Policing officers executed six search warrants and made five arrests as a result of an ongoing investigation.
Police executed search warrants at residences located on Patterson Drive, Ayr; Tassie Lane, Cambridge; Frobisher Court, Cambridge; Hilltop Drive, Cambridge; and Stonecairn Drive, Cambridge.
As a result of the investigation police seized the following items:
· 24 ounces of cocaine; 21 ounces of cannabis marihuana
· 1 loaded 45 calibre handgun; 1 conducted energy weapon
· ammunition
· $530 cash
· cutting agent, bear spray, hunting knife
The following people have been arrested and are in custody pending further court appearances:
· Antonio Americano, 40, of Cambridge. Charged with Trafficking Cocaine,
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine
· Benn Beffort, 24, of Cambridge. Charged with Trafficking Cocaine x 3
Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine x 3
· Bill Georgaras, 26, of Cambridge. Charged with Trafficking Cocaine x 6
· Edward Hatch, 24, of Cambridge. Charged with Trafficking Cocaine x 3, Possession for the Purpose of Trafficking Cocaine x3
· Kevin Puim, 24, of Cambridge. Charged with Trafficking Cocaine, Possession for the Purpose of Cocaine
