Regional Police Arrest Cambridge Man For Child Pornography Offences
On March 20, 2020, the Waterloo Regional Police Service’s Cybercrime - Internet Child Exploitation Unit, completed an investigation into child pornography. The investigation began after police received information from the National Child Exploitation Coordination Centre regarding a person uploading child pornography between January and March of 2020. As a result of the investigation, a search warrant was executed at a residence in Cambridge. Police arrested a 35-year-old male and charged him with two counts of Possession of Child Pornography for offences ranging from August 2016 to March 2020. The Waterloo Regional Police Service is a member of the Ontario Provincial Strategy to Protect Children from Sexual Abuse and Exploitation on the Internet.
