At this time, equipment provided by the City will be limited to personal flotation devices and accessibility equipment. Visitors may bring their own equipment for fitness or accessibility, but pool toys will not be permitted.

Some amenities will be unavailable at City pools including viewing galleries, saunas, slides, and diving boards. Changeroom access will be limited and visitors are encouraged to arrive at the facility showered and dressed to swim. Lockers will not be available however visitors will be permitted to keep their belongings in a bag on the pool deck.

“I’m encouraged to see that as a community we’re being respectful of one another and following the necessary health and safety precautions in place, allowing us to continue to slowly and gradually reopen city amenities,” explained Kitchener Mayor Berry Vrbanovic. “The warm summer weather is here, and we want to be able to have city amenities available for everyone to enjoy.”
