United Way Waterloo Region Communities celebrates 80 years in Waterloo Region with 80 for 80th virtual auction

Waterloo Region – From 12 pm September 16, 2021, to 10:00 pm September 30, 2021 United Way Waterloo Region Communities (UWWRC) is hosting a virtual auction to mark their 80th year in the community.

All items have been generously donated by local businesses and community members and thanks to their support, 100% of the proceeds from the auction will benefit United Way Waterloo Region Communities and the agencies UWWRC supports.

Whether you’re looking for an early holiday gift, a unique present for that special someone or creative ideas to freshen up your home or business, this online auction has something for everyone. All money raised stays in the community and will support our local agencies during these challenging times

“We approached business and individuals in our community and their response was so inspiring. We have an incredible array of gifts and experiences that will appeal to everyone,” stated UWWRC CEO, Joan Fisk. “We know the last 18 months have been challenging but we thought 80 years is an amazing accomplishment and we wanted to do something that could involve the whole community on some level, while continuing to help those who need it most. We could not have survived for 80 years without the generosity of our donors and this year their support has been critical in ensuring we can help rebuild a stronger Waterloo Region together.”

Items such as Jann Arden concert tickets, garage doors, skin care packages, fabulous fashion items, gourmet dinner experiences and much more are up for grabs. (Includes a dinner item at CEO Joan Fisk's home:)
