Scottie Scheffler, A Masters Champion 2022 | The Masters

At age 25, Scottie Scheffler has won three times on the PGA Tour this year: at the Waste Management Phoenix Open, the Arnold Palmer Invitational and the WGC Match Play. With his victory in Austin at the Match Play, the Texan completed a meteoric rise to World No. 1 after beginning 2022 at No. 13 in the Official World Golf Ranking. He has also proven that he has a knack for competing in major championships. Scheffler has finished inside the top 20 in both of his Masters appearances and in 2021 posted top 10s in the U.S. Open, the PGA Championship and The Open. He earned one of Steve Stricker's captain's picks for last year's Ryder Cup, where he went undefeated in three matches, helping the United States defeat Europe. Growing up in Dallas, Scheffler was mentored at Royal Oaks by Justin Leonard and Ryan Palmer, and much of his early resume mirrors that of his friend Jordan Spieth: U.S. Junior Amateur winner, University of Texas star, PGA Tour Rookie of the Year.
